How to connect the Lodestar MCP server to ChatGPT via custom connectors.
ChatGPT custom connector
ChatGPT supports external integrations through custom connectors (formerly GPT Actions). To connect Lodestar, open ChatGPT settings, navigate to the connectors or integrations section, and add a new connector pointing to the Lodestar MCP endpoint.
The exact connector UI in ChatGPT may change as OpenAI ships updates. The general pattern is: add a connector URL + authentication header with your Lodestar API key. Refer to the in-product setup guide for current screenshots.
Authentication
Use Bearer token authentication with your Lodestar API key. Retrieve your key from Settings → Integrations → MCP Server in Lodestar.
Verifying the connection
After connecting, ask ChatGPT: "What needs my attention today?" It should call needs_attention and return your current list.
